Iranian director to judge in Turkish fest

Iranian director Ali Asgari is to judge at the 2022 Istanbul Film Festival in Turkey.

Iranian director Ali Asgari has been named a jury member at the 41st edition of the Istanbul Film Festival in Turkey.

Born in Tehran, Asgari is a talented filmmaker who studied cinema in Italy.

Two of his films ‘More than Two Hours’ and ‘The Silence’ were in Short Film Competition at Festival de Cannes.

His other films include ‘The Messenger', ‘Pilgrims’, ‘The Baby’, ‘Gaze’, ‘Delay’ and ‘Witness’.

Istanbul Film Festival is organized by the non-profit cultural institution Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (IKSV).

The festival aims to promote and support artistic and cultural productions.

Asgari’s film ‘Until Tomorrow’ is also a participant in the Turkish festival.

The upcoming edition of the event will be held on April 8-19.
